During a recent trip across the pond, I landed in London just as weeks of rain finally gave way to three straight days of brilliant sunshine. Spring in the city has a rhythm of its own, the sun plays peekaboo throughout the day before dipping, the wind rolls in, and suddenly it’s brisk enough to call for a light jacket.
Dressing for London in the spring is all about intention: thoughtful layering, muted tones, elevated tracksuits, and comfortable trainers that can keep up with wherever the day leads. Each look seamlessly carried me from day to night.
Staying at the W London made getting dressed part of the experience—the mirrored walls were perfect for a final outfit check each morning. And with a prime location in Leicester Square, I could easily move through the city: gallery hopping in Mayfair, slipping into my favorite Soho bars, shopping through Piccadilly Circus, and heading to dinner along the River Thames, all while staying effortlessly styled for every stop.
Scroll ahead to see the looks from my very British holiday.
Look 1
For the first look, perfect for a day spent running around Mayfair, I opted for a pair of raw denim jeans from Denim Tears that slouched effortlessly over my feet, grazing my Margiela Tabi ballet flats. Up top, I wore my coveted Intimissimi cashmere shirt, just sheer enough to subtly reveal the bra layered underneath. I finished it off with a fur zip-up, a timeless piece gracefully passed down from my mother.
As for accessories, my non-negotiables: Miu Miu glasses and my well-loved Balenciaga City bag, perfectly worn-in and roomy enough to carry all my essentials.

Look 2
For my second look, I was headed to a laid-back Sunday night dinner with friends. While in Europe, I added a new piece to my vintage tee collection, a 1970s Woodstock shirt, so of course I had to wear it. I paired it with my slouchy low-rise jeans and my Miu Miu x New Balance sneakers, perfect for hopping from the Tube to a car and everywhere in between.
I also wore the watch my grandmother passed down to me, adding a sentimental touch. It was a no-makeup day, so I threw on a vintage military hat to casually shield my face and pull the whole look together.

Look 3
And lastly, for a look that felt quintessentially British, much like the subtle Union Jack displayed behind my room’s television, I leaned into a slightly punk-leaning aesthetic. I started with a military-style grey jacket I thrifted at Crossroads back in the States, paired with waxed black skinny jeans from Guess.
On my feet, I wore my Laura Andrsako platform boots, and finished the look with my Miu Miu glasses and a mini silver coin purse passed down from my grandmother. The result: chic with just the right amount of edge, perfect for a night out in true British fashion.
