If you’ve been quietly telling yourself you’ll figure out the FIFA World Cup 2026 logistics later, later is officially now.

The tournament kicks off June 11th and runs through July 19th, spanning 16 host cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. And while the excitement is absolutely warranted, this is the first World Cup on U.S. soil since 1994, and it’s going to be massive. So are the travel costs that come with it.

We’ve all seen what happens during events like this. A $200 room turns into $500 overnight and this time, it’s happening across multiple cities at once. Hotel prices in host cities are already climbing, and they will not stop. Needless to say, the window to book at a normal price is closing fast.

Below, we’ve compiled a guide to some of the best places to stay across a handful of the U.S. host cities, from bougie boutique properties to those offering full on luxury experiences. Whether you’re a die-hard football (yes, football) fan or going for the (*ahem*) view, who may be in attendance, here’s what’s actually worth booking.

ATLANTA

Georgia is hosting matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Atlanta being Atlanta (or as the kids say, “not a real place”), the city is going to show all the way out for it. If you’re heading there, the St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead is a great choice for anyone who doesn’t want to compromise on comfort or 5-star service. The property is known for its signature butler service, refined interiors, and rooms that are genuinely hard to leave in the morning. Honestly, if you’re going to spend money on a trip like this, you may as well spend it right.

Loews Atlanta is located in Midtown and has convenient access to the city’s restaurants, transit, and nightlife, so when your schedule gets hectic, and it will, you’re already where you need to be. It’s comfortable and well-located, and will offer everything you need at a (somewhat) reasonable price.

The Kimpton Shane Hotel also sits in Midtown, right in the arts district, and has more personality than most hotels in that price range. World Cup or not, it’s a good one to know about.

MIAMI

Miami in the summer is already a lot, and this summer it’s going to be on a completely different level. The residents may not be, but W South Beach is ready for it. The hotel created a penthouse package for people who want to experience the World Cup without thinking about a single logistical detail. If you’ve ever wanted to live your best Ballers life, just know it involves yachts, a Ferrari, and someone making sure you never have to figure anything out yourself. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. But so is flying across the country for a soccer tournament, so who is really to judge here.

Goodtime Hotel (brought to you by your favorite rapper’s favorite producer, Pharrell) is exactly what the name says. It’s bright, it’s social, and the pool looks like somewhere you’d see on someone’s Instagram and immediately start planning a trip.

DALLAS

AT&T Stadium in Arlington is hosting some of the tournament’s biggest matches, and Dallas has options across the board. The Ritz-Carlton Dallas is exactly what you expect: luxurious, service-forward, and with very few surprises. If you’ve stayed at one you already know. If you haven’t, this is a good time to find out.

The JW Marriott Dallas Arts District puts guests in the middle of downtown’s cultural core. On off-days, you can walk to galleries and restaurants instead of sitting in a 40-minute rideshare.

Kimpton Pittman in Deep Ellum is probably the most interesting hotel on this Dallas list. Built in 1916, the Beaux Arts bones are still very much present throughout the property, and it sits in a neighborhood with live music, murals, and bars, which means there’s plenty to do on the front or back end of your match.

Hotel ZaZa is a Michelin Key-awarded boutique property that has put together some genuinely over-the-top World Cup packages. Everything from suite stays, stadium transportation, spa treatments, poolside champagne.. you get the idea.

LOS ANGELES

SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is one of the most anticipated venues of the tournament, and L.A.’s hotel scene has no shortage of options for fans making the trip. AKA West Hollywood is built for longer stays, which if you’re going to be in L.A. for any stretch of this tournament, is probably exactly what you need anyway.

If you know, you know with L’Ermitage Beverly Hills. The boutique property has been a favorite for years, and the intimate nature of it makes it feel more like a very nice private residence than a hotel.

Young Thug told us to meet him at The London (West Hollywood at Beverly Hills), and ever since then it’s been a celebrity favorite in WeHo. The rooftop views over West Hollywood are legitimately stunning, and the energy inside feels exactly like you’d want it to after a match day in L.A.

PHILADELPHIA

Philadelphia is hosting seven matches at Lincoln Financial Field, and the city has some strong options for fans making the trip. The Rittenhouse sits on one of the prettiest squares in the city and has been a Philadelphia staple for decades. The service doesn’t miss, the rooms are gorgeous, and being steps from one of the most iconic squares in the city doesn’t hurt either.

W Philadelphia in Center City keeps things lively. Between the Living Room Bar pulling you in for cocktails until the wee hours of the morning and the AWAY Spa quietly saving your life that very next morning after, W Philadelphia has the bases covered.

NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY

As if the Tri-State area needed any more people visiting, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford is hosting the World Cup Final, putting the New York metro area at the center of the tournament’s biggest moment. Hotel AKA NoMad places guests steps from Penn Station, making the trip to MetLife as easy as it’s going to get. It’s a quieter, more residential property than your average Midtown hotel, and after day two of World Cup New York, you’ll appreciate it more than you realize.

Kimpton Hotel Theta in Times Square is approaching the World Cup like a party host who actually planned ahead. The rooftop bar, Bar Sprezzatura, will broadcast every match and debut a limited Soccer at Sprezz menu for the occasion. The hotel’s Stay and Play package sends guests off with sunscreen, noisemakers, hats, water and sunglasses, which will matter a lot when you’re standing outside MetLife in July heat.

This guide only covers a selection of U.S. host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The full host city list also includes Boston, Kansas City, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle and others, so book now.
